Honest questions of basketball

what is the issue SDSU has right now with basketball? For the past 5 or so seasons, scoring has been extremely difficult for them. Is that a recruiting thing? A development thing? A systemic issue?
This isn't trying to stir the boat, but it's something that I would for someone to answer without bias or insults back towards me.
We can't keep saying the other team played well and deserved to win. The Aztecs blew these past 2 games because they couldn't make pressure plays.

A Question On Ryan Agnew And Other QB Backups

First let me make very clear this is not a Chapman bash topic. In fact I really like Chapman and what he has done. I don't see how any of us can complain with a starter who is (approx) 12-3 in his career...AND he is only a Soph.

My question is on backups. All programs need solid backups these days. QB's go down with injuries at a quick rate. All programs need a backup who can push the starter to be better every week and be ready to take over in emergency. Not to get thru the game, but to lead the team the rest of the season.

What is the consensus here on Ryan Agnew. I have seen so little of him but what I have seen I liked.

I figure if Jimmy Walker could push Chapman he would have already made that apparent and be pushing for a starting job.

Who do we have in that Frosh and Redshirt frosh class.

My thoughts are we need a very good frosh QB to come in next year or a JC QB that can challenge Chapman. Of course my thoughts change is Agnew is a solid backup who can take care of business if Chapman goes down. In that case I forget the JC guy and go after a high school QB.

What do you guys think of the backup QB situation and Agnew/Walker?

Kevin Acee ...

When you live out of state you miss some of the local news coverage.
Coming in from Michigan, I picked up a U-T and read Acee's column which included comments on how Acee rates coach Long. He thinks he's overstayed his welcome.
Is he alone in his opinion or is there
a growing loss of confidence in Rocky?

Sergio,Henderson and Ron Smith

All really stepped up looked very good.Sergio is a terror most underrated player on the team. Henderson will vie with Lakalaka,Dunn,Ricks,Tezino, the super frosh for some serious playing time at linebacker. So many positives for next year. Warring and Wells, the two big Frosh wr's that some tall Dudes to throw too. Really depth and at corner and the offensive line coming together(the talent is there) is the only real concerns. Replacing Blain at punter as well he was great this year.

PLEASE buy your bowl game tixs through SDSU

Reminder that each bowl game team is contractually obligated to buy a minimum number of tickets for the game. Any shortfall is made up by the game payout after the fact from the payout. SDSU will accrue major travel expenses to house/feed/travel/entertain......so last thing the program budget needs is also have an expense for failing to sell its ticket allotment. Don't have specifics but SDSU will likely have to sell AT LEAST 7,500.

Besides, this is easily the best matchup in a bowl game SDSU has had since Holiday Bowl. BUY your tix folks.

TW

Arizona Twitter folks are throwing around Tony Whites name as a possible guy to replace their DB coach the fired, the guy from SJSU I forget his name. If they take TW, I have no problem swapping and taking that guy. He recruited really well at SJSU.
