OTs

SDSU is still obviously in need of offensive tackles in this class and they are still looking around for some that fit the profile.

Ladji Bagayoko, a Canadian transfer who attends Bishop Alemany, is officially visiting Hawaii after Thanksgiving and will likely visit SDSU soon after in December. Here's a story on him from back during the summer.

The other ideal targets I believe are:

-Redlands OL Alfred Edwards, who was offered by SDSU in the summer but committed to Nevada this season. He attended the New Hampshire home opener and I wouldn't be surprised if SDSU remains in the picture moving forward.

-One of the new names that has been thrown around is a local prospect by the name of James Lee. He attends Rancho Bernardo but won't play against Helix this week due to an injury. He's also currently committed to Harvard. Check out his senior film: Login to view embedded media

Bowl Ineligible this year

I followed my own advice of 24 hour cooling period after SDSU's loss yesterday before posting. I'm heart broken at losing prospects of Cotton Bowl and do not want another Poinsettia Bowl trip. Meanwhile for larger perspective here is a long list of BOWL INELIGIBLE TEAMS:

* UCLA is 4-7 with one game left at Cal
* Cal is 4-7 with.......see above
* Arizona 2-9 with one game left vs ASU
* Oregon (4-7) and Oregon St (3-8) play each other is season's last game
* Notre Dame (4-7), one game left vs USC
* Virginia, Duke, Michigan State, Purdue, Illinois, Boston College, Tex Tech, UCON, Cincinnati

When you consider the financial backing and established football success, etc...................goes to show that consistently winning is extremely difficult. As I said in another thread, traditions and winning reputation take time. Hate games on Sat after Thanksgiving but even after loss yesterday, if we get 35K at the Q Saturday............I'll see it as a sign of progress and growth of a support base, critical to long term growth of the program. Wasn't that long ago that I sat in my seats for a Sat day game after Thanksgiving vs AFA (?) and there were about 8K in the stands.

Win or loose, GO AZTECS!!

FB Games to watch for Rankings

Keep an eye on these games this week for teams SDSU could leapfrog with a win:

* "Washington State" on the road at #10 Colorado, up next Washington -- likely go 0-2
* "Florida" could go down on the road at LSU as well
* #13 Oklahoma State is a road under dog to TCU and they have OU next week. Guessing they go 0-2. TCU is figuring things out and OU is just flat out better
* Auburn with three losses has Alabama A&M this week but plays 'Bama next week
* Florida State with three losses has weak Syracuse this week but Florida next week

Win the next two weeks and SDSU could be back in the AP #18 range going into MWC Championship game vs an even higher ranked Boise State.
