when they left the MWC, were they offered a chance to stay in conference for basketball only? Or was it that the MWC said all or nothing? Only asking because I see Hawaii playing in the tournament and barely realized they weren't a part of MWC basketball.

IPFW looks very loose and laid back entering this game. Just-happy-to-be-here type of attitude.

I'd say Viejas Arena is about half full, but traffic was pretty tough getting in.

Stanford has fired their HC. Obviously people will wonder what happens with Cameron Walker and my early prediction is that he stays. I also don't think SDSU will prioritize recruiting wings this off-season with the new guys playing next year.

Let's get behind our team to prove that they should have been in the big dance, and the best way to do that is to win the NIT.
Win a couple of home games and then travel to NYC for the final weekend of March.

A couple of things I picked up on.

- Gardner uses his hands really well. He's going to be at minimum a great space eater in the middle vs the run.
- Siragusa is just so sound now. He's come a long way. He's a next level guy IMHO.
- Pope is just a prototypical LT. He needs to sharpen some technique issues but he's got all of the tools.
- Hall has exceptional hand punch and get off. As has been said many times before. He's Barrett 2.0.
- Putting Henderson's hand down is going to be a nightmare for teams on passing downs. His tremendous speed on the edge is going to give us an added dimension. How he holds up when they decide to run his way will determine how much his role is expanded IMHO.

The players that don't have class will attend the NIT game tomorrow and it sounds like they will hand out some flyers promoting their spring scrimmage on Saturday.

ESPN's Joe Lunardi has SDSU listed last in his "last four in" prediction.

I'd say SDSU has a 50/50 shot at a bid.
