Malik Pope NBA Draft

Ruben, word on the street is that Pope is going to be a top 15 draft pick this year and that if thats the case he'll go... any idea on the facts that support this statement?? Gotta think a guy who's only playing his first year of competitive hoops after sitting out due to two bad broken legs won't leave prior to putting on some weight and getting more comfortable on the court... as of now he's averaging just under 14 minutes a game and 4.9 pts per game... AND HE DOESN"T EVEN START... Could he really be a lottery pick in the 2015 NBA Draft??

NFL Combine

Terry Poole measured in at 6-5, 307 with 33 1/4 inch arms. He also performed 25 reps on the 225 bench test, a solid number, and higher than some guys rated in the top two rounds.

Ezell Ruffin measured in at 6-0, 218 (big boy!) but only had hands if 8 3/4 inches, relatively small.

I'll post the other numbers as they come available, but if you encounter any analysis information or hear about interviews or something, feel free to post it!

How do you think they'll do in the draft and the drills?

Players no longer on the team

-Offensive center Lenicio Noble, offensive lineman Paul Rodrigues and wide receiver Larry Clark are no longer on the team. Rocky Long dismissed them because of a failure to follow team rules.

-Confirmed OL Antonio Rosales and DE Jordan Watson are back in their home states attending junior college in hopes of getting their academics back in order.

-Freshman OL Alex Anderson has quit the team but is still attending school this semester. There is a possibility he transfers to NAU.

-Reconfirmed Stan Sedberry has officially medically retired. Walk-on wide receiver Craig Knaus suffered an offseason injury but hearing that he may still try and play football once he heals up.

Spring practice coming up your thoughts?

For me obviously the big battle is at QB to see if anyone starts to separate themselves before fall. Then center will Maas or Serge or Krum step up quickly. Of course the wr position is going to be very interesting, love ot see what Clewis can do and the walkon Curtis Anderson (if he can do a Tim Vezie ) added to the mix.
. As for defense how Babiash,Dunn work into the mix,and also O Grady will make a a solid backup we need some more depth. We now have only two guys on the dline that weigh more than 260, since we lost two to graduation and Watson to whatever. This is the most up I have been in years particularly about the QB situation. I am hoping they will actually have an updated Roster with current height weight etc.

On Lomax and Munson

It was reported that Calvin Munson and Trey Lomax were going to join the baseball team.

Both tried out and went through meetings, but only Munson will be on the active roster as a pitcher. Lomax, a former All-CIF player who hasn't been on the diamond in over two years, did not make it but will probably try out again next year. Lomax not making it makes sense considering it's probably harder to perform in the batter's box than it is on the pitcher's mound after a two year hiatus with football
