I know the quarterback position is a question mark that everyone has on their minds heading into next season and Maxwell Smith's knee injury made things even more unclear than they already were.
I don't know how things will play out. Maybe the staff will be fine with Chapman if he plays better than expected this postseason. Maybe the Agnew hype makes them feel even more comfortable with sticking with who they got, not to mention Lucas Johnson next year.
But their are options out there that they may try to bring in for insurance. It's worth noting that at this point of the season SDSU doesn't really officially offer QBs but they will probably bring in a few for official visits and if they like their attitude, size etc. face to face, they may decide to add one to the roster. This was the case for Brad Odeman and Jake Rodrigues over the past few off seasons and I expect something like that to happen this season. I think the names to be aware of are already out there for the most part but here's who I think you should really keep an eye on.
Kentucky transfer
Patrick Towles will be the hot name this offseason but I'm not sure if that happens.

Armani Rogers decommitted from Cal and the thought is UCLA will be the choice but the Bruins have Rosen for two more seasons and another top 2017 QB they are pursuing. Rogers is also in Tony White's area and he can scoop him up if the staff decides to pursue him.

The other HS QB to be aware of is Camarillo's
Jake Constatine.

Johnny Stanton was a kid SDSU offered early in his career then blew up with a strong junior and senior shower before a season ending injury. He didn't pan out at Nebraska and he's currently at Saddleback College, a program SDSU regularly pursues.

College of the Desert QB
Stephen Johnson II is having a big juco season and can be another option. He went to Grambling St. but an ankle injury derailed his career.

Another possibility (and not as much of a dual threat guy) is
Richard Lagow from Cisco CC in Texas. He committed to UConn out of college but is now back in Texas and looking to transfer.
