With May 30th decision two days away, what can we assume happens if he decides to return or turns professional? If he does return, the Aztecs will have an awfully good team next year and if he explodes during his sophomore season, then it could be really special. Assuming he returns, then either Gath or Chang will choose the Aztecs.
Now, if McDaniels turns professional, then hopefully we can pick up both Gath and Chang. The upcoming season will rest a lot upon new people and depending upon their maturation will either be average, good or maybe even better. What will also happen as we enter the 2019-20 season is we will be loaded and depending on additional recruits we could be awesome. With Flynn starting at guard and all new people from 2018 class as sophomores, then skies are the limit.
Either way on McDaniels, the Aztecs should be a solid club. I for one would really like to see him return and actually put up double double numbers before attempting to turn to the professional side of things! Go Aztecs!
