With such a run heavy offense, I have no idea why we pass from the shotgun so much on the rare occasions we actually do pass? I would think our big advantage would be the surprise of the pass by utilizing the play action?

We get into the shotgun and now the defense knows exactly what we are doing so they adjust accordingly. We lose the element of surprise. Just seems very strange to me.

Even if we don't use the play action at least the QB should take the snap from center and use a normal drop back, so as to not telegraph a pass is coming. The play action pass to the TE's seemed open on every 1st and 2nd down last night when USA was stacking the box.
