He confirmed with me tonight that ASU, Washington St., Washington and TCU all reached out to him this week once they heard about his commitment to San Diego State.
Tui's response? They were too late. He loved the vibe he got during his SDSU official (Nico Siragusa and Slater hosted him) and he has a legit shot to play right away since the center position appears to be wide open and Tui's completely fine with learning that position if need be. He's good friends with some of the top Poly offensive linemen in the state, including some guys that are currently at USC, and he said he will learn how to snap the ball from them if need be.
I think the biggest reason he committed though is SDSU's commitment to the run. He specifically didn't consider Washington St because of their offense, for example.
By the way, he said he's already done with school but he needs to take an online english class and he'll be all set to come in. Once that class is completed, he can enroll in San Diego State. There's a chance he could actually enroll during the first session of summer school.
