Palm Springs safety Trenton Thompson committed to San Diego State during his senior season but was considering taking official visits to other schools in January. Mountain West schools continued to pursue him and he tentatively scheduled a visit to Wyoming this past weekend.
Thompson let me know tonight that he cancelled all of his official visits, not just the Wyo one, meaning there were more schools trying to bring him in for a trip last minute. He visited SDSU on Jan. 22 with his teammate and Aztec target Tayler Hawkins. Thompson reaffirming his commitment to SDSU is only more positive on the Hawkins end.
Hawkins will likely announce his choice on NSD at his high school (heard it's between WSU, CU and SDSU but others may make a late run over the next 48 hours).
