The NCAA wants to turn college basketball into the NBA. If they also decide to lower the shot clock while in their meetings today, then teams like SDSU and Virginia will need to up their offensive game. The days of stringing games along with suffocating defense because you can't score easy baskets are all but over. Defense will always be an important part of the game, but if you can't score and score fast you'll find wins will be even harder to come by.
I personally like many of the new rule changes, the flow of the game should be much improved now, we just need to be sure we're adjusting our game plan accordingly (to include the types of players that we recruit in the future).
