Greg Bell is no longer listed as a commit in this recruiting class. I don't know that much at the moment but early on in his recruitment there were some concerns about his academics. Considering the fall semester just completed and grades were likely released, it's possible his grades haven't improved enough this fall to make him a qualifier.

Other MWC BB Games

UNLV lost at home to Fresno 69-66 -- Typical UNLV. All world recruits, ZERO results.

San Jose State lost at home to Utah State 80-71

New Mexico won at home vs Nevada 88-76

Boise State played a non conf game and beat UC Daviis at Home

* Utah State is SDSU's next opponent on Saturday in Logan. SDSU' bigs need to have a big game as USU has no size with talent/experience. Shepard needs to lock down F Jalen Moore (their best player, by far).

What is SDSU's plan if Chargers leave?

Ruben,

Maybe this has been discussed to death somewhere else, but what is the school's plan when/if the Chargers move to LA?

It would make sense to me if the school implemented a similar proposal to the one currently offered to the Chargers. Sell the surrounding land for development to help pay for a new stadium, except build a smaller more modern college stadium. Lots of advantages - environmental impact already done and trolley access.

Have you heard anything Ruben?

FB recruiting what's left??

Amazing end to the season by the team and possible top 25 ranking ranking (this year and next) will likely pay dividends in recruiting down the stretch run and spill into next year. It looks like we will be over-signing this year, so thought there should be a thread on who is likely still in play for official visits next month. Feel free to add others.

QB- (none) We seem to be done as long as Johnson sticks.
RB- (1) Freddie Holly seems to be main option, but Alexaner Mattison and Sean Riley mentioned.
WR- (2) Jordan Chin and Dionte Sykes. Xavier Ubosi still an option?? Hope so.
TE- (none) We seem to be done here.
OL- (2/3) Yasir Durant, David Swaby, Douglas Tucker, Keith Ismael, Andru Tovi, Donnell Greene, any other JC's? Mystery recruit has already visited.
DL- (1) DJ Davidson, D. Tucker could play DT as well.
LB- (1/2) Dru Mathis and Justus Tei. Kaelin Hemphill and Troy Cassidy have already visited.
DB- (1/2) Robert Awunganyi, Daniel Brown, Tayler Hawkins, possible JC corner?
ST- (none) Seem to be done here as well.

Football?

Is it just me or is there the last football game going to be played for the last time this year. How come no comments on the game? Is Rocky going to keep his promise and practice to win? Is the team going to ready to play? My answer is yes to all of the above. How about you guys. GO AZTECS. Only three plus hours to Kick off.
Basketball can wait, for now.

The Juniors & The NFL Draft

Great win tonight by the Football team. I know I should just enjoy the victory, but I can't help but think forward to next year. This team still needs to beat a quality P5 team and threaten for a New Year's bowl to capture the imagination of this town.

This is the best class of Juniors that we may have ever seen? Selfishly, I'm a bit worried we will lose a handful to the NFL draft. If they all come back, we should definitely be competing for top 25 ranking most of the year.

In my opinion here is a list of the guys that could conceivable go early to the draft:

Tier 1 (All pretty good chance of getting drafted)
Donnel Pumphrey
Damontae Kazee
Calvin Munson
Nico Siragusa

Tier 2 (Late rounds or non-drafted FA)
Malik Smith

Tier 3 (Long-shots but somewhat conceivable)
Alex Barrett (size probably precludes getting drafted)
Kwayde Miller (great size may give him a shot)

IMHO the Tier 1 guys have a big decision to make, the other guys should stay. We have built a pretty deep team, so even if they all go, we should be ok in the MW.

Did I miss anyone? Thoughts?
