Rocky Long said he hopes David Wells' foot will be good to go after they team keeps it light Thursday and Friday. He's been running and doing 7v7 all week. I still don't see the need for him to play unless their us an emergency.

Chase Jasmin (knee) is in the same boat. He'll probably get a couple carries in garbage time unless his knee strain acts up.

What's your realistic expectations for this football season? I think we'll end up 9-3 before the MW championship game but I'm dreaming to be 11-1 at that time!

In today's transactions, in the back of the sports section, teams were busy with releasing and signing long snappers.
Must be the season for this. The Saints, Colts, Packers and Bears were busy dealing with long snappers

game week, game week, game week, did I forget to mention its GAME WEEK. Now we can see if we progressed.

We now have 9 commitments, 4 of which are listed as "athlete." Checking back, we've only had as many as 4 once in the past 15 years and that was for a full class. Not only that, with that one exception, we've never before had more than 2 "athletes" commit. Is that just coincidental or does that reflect a bit of a change in recruiting philosophy?

In terms of our competition maybe CSU
is worth keeping an eye on. They beat a last place PAC 12 team pretty well.
Stanford played a high school team so little
can be learned from that game. Their qb
may not react well to pressure. They did score 62 points but how do you gauge that?
My two favorite teams this year are SDSU
and whoever is playing BYU.

Spartans opening everything that was closed and closing everything that's open
on #19 USF so far. 17-0 in first qtr.

Rashad Scott had 4 INTs (vs BYU QB commit), 1 defensive TD, one receiving TD and a punt return TD (called back).

Bellinger had 20 tackles and a receiving TD

Keshawn Banks had a couple TFLs and a good game

Big win by Colorado State Rams over Oregon State. Oregon state may not be great but it's the PAC 12. Good start, us versus them! May it continue!

I was going to post this in the morning but since the depth chart will be out I wanted to give tou guys a heads up:

-I will be shocked if Ryan Agnew isn't the backuo QB on the depth chart after tonight. He wasn't spectacular or anything (other than a few good scrambles on rollouts and a nice touch pass that was slighty underthrown but enough for Fred Trevillion to run away for a TD on a post route) but Chris Laviano played like a clipboard carrier. He forced a throw toward a well covered Darryl Richardson down the sideline and Tariq Thompson did a great job boxing out the bigger Richardson to make a clean interception. Later on Laviano chucked a pass deep down the seam, 10 yards ahead if his intended target. Darren Hall intercepted that one too. It was just another example of his poor deep ball accuracy that I always bring uo when people rave about his arm strength.

A lot of the veterans didnt play so Chase Jasmin and Tyler Wormhoudt had most of the carries. I thought both had some of their better performances of camp, especially Jasmin's show of shiftiness, but Jasmin exited the game early with a left knee issue. It didn't look too serious but ill update you tomorrow.

Trey Lomax will start at warrior but he'll still ve the No. 2 Aztec in front of Dwayne Johnson and Will Stricklin.

Prediction: Do not be shocked if Tariq Thompson is listed as a starting warrior safety over soph safety Trenton Thompson. Tariq is picking everything up fast and he had another good showing.

John Baron II went a perfect 4/4 on FG attempts.

-Andrew Aleki can be inconsistent at times but if he could get some experience with lots of snaps vs. UC Davis he could have big production as a frish.

-I thought Mikah Holder, Kyavah Tezino and Tim Wilson were also standouts.
